Avoiding Opportunism?

currents in the river

When a disaster occurs, such as a pandemic or recession, there will probably be many people who need help of one kind or another.

If we have genuine help to offer, there is nothing wrong with letting people know that. But there’s a risk of getting caught up in the anxiety and offering solutions to every type of problem. To do this is to drift into opportunism and lose our connection with the real help we can give.

While trying to provide help and benefit from doing so, it is vital to keep our attention focused on doing what we do best that can be of genuine service.
