The chattering mind seeks to always fill the silence with something which can distract us from waiting in the right way, with the right intention.
Knowing when there is nothing active that it is helpful to do is to recognize when there is time to wait and perceive.
Let our mind focus on worries while we are waiting and we can drain our energy and immobilize ourselves, so we don’t act well when the waiting is over. Focusing on negative possibilities can make us vulnerable.
Things may take longer than we expect, and sometimes the best possible thing to do is to rest.
Whatever is unfolding next in our existence is sure to have an abundance of challenges and opportunities that will require all our well-rested strength.
